OTEC® – For Plastic Coating
Due to its strong focus on materials, the process of plastic coating requires the finisher to meet a number of special requirements. Using the material management features, the user can map processes for a wide range of different plastics. Users can ensure that the special properties of the materials needed for the resulting requirements are taken into account throughout the process, for example in the preprocessing stages or in the coating process itself, and stored as properties in the work plan for the individual work steps. When it comes to complex series of processing steps that are dependent upon specific parameters or which require documentation, it is crucial to provide precise specifications for these steps along with all of the required information. The user can store and assign all of the processes required to carry out the corresponding services within OTEC®. This includes accounting for and mapping the parameters for the special preprocessing procedures and, if applicable, the product shelf lives, i.e., the maximum time between individual processing steps. An array of sorting options prior to the creation of a work plan in OTEC® Planning System and OTEC® Graphic Control Station allow users to optimize the production cycle. OTEC® PDC serves as a reporting system, allowing for increased transparency and enabling users to make inferences for future production processes that will help to increase efficiency and quality.
The modular structure of the software enables the user to set up processes in the software precisely as needed to facilitate smooth operation within the organization. The user always has access to automatic processes and comprehensive information about systems, process control mechanisms, OTEC® quality management, as well as OTEC® DMS as an archiving system alongside a range of different histories. For many companies, employing a wide array of communication protocols for systems, powder warehouses, high rack warehouse, weighing machines, and/or third-party systems via standardized or custom interfaces is both convenient and necessary. In addition, different interfaces are required for customers to allow for the transferring of dispatch notifications, delivery schedules, invoices, etc. in accordance with EDI, EDIFACT or other standards, or via customer-specific interfaces.
